My name is Max and I’m a four year old German Shepard/Husky mix, now living at the Vancouver B.C. SPCA shelter. My story is sad, but it hasn’t affected my nature, so not to worry about that.
Here’s what happened: I was shot in the leg, at the elbow. Long story short, and let’s just say things weren’t pretty for a while and I had to have my front left leg amputated. It took some getting used to, obviously but now I’m adjusting quickly to being a tri-pawed (tripod, get it?) and it hasn’t slowed me down one bit!
I LOVE human attention and affection and I just want to find someone to snuggle in with for the long term. I’m friendly and calm with other pups and I’d be more than happy to live with a friend, as long as they aren’t too rambunctious while I heal.
In case you haven’t noticed, I have a beautiful white coat and which requires regular brushing. Ladies, you know what I’m talking about. But I looove that, because it means more touching and petting from you!
